Creating a MapleStory v83 Privat Server
I will show you today a Tutorial how to create a MapleStory Privat Server for Version 83. After this Tutorial you can run this Server 100% working if you dont did anyhting other i sayed.

Step 1) The Start
First time run to C:
Now create three folder you can use anyhting name but for this tutorial we using this names 'ZenthosDev', 'Downloads' und 'Maplestory v 83'.
Now its look like this :
C:ZenthosDev
C:Downloads
C:MapleStoryV83

Step 2) Programms and Files we needing
Downloading all files and Programms are placing here.
Get the Files and Programms to this Folder we had created C:Downloads.
Java SE Development Kit (JDK) [] []
MySQL Query Browser
JCE Unlimited Strength Files [] <--- Warning : This is working for v83 !
WampServer []
LocalHost v83
ZenthosDev v83
MapleStory v83
WZ Files
Use the right Programms and Files for your operating system if you dont use the right you get mabye some errors so the server wont get running.
*You can downloading the Files and Programms if you clicking at the [X].

Step 3) Installations
Before we start make sure that everything is extracted if its in a .rar format.
Installing MapleStory v83:
Install MapleStory using the download provided. Its a very straight foward installation, just follow the instructions.
After installing, DO NOT update/run the game using the client it comes with.
Delete the following files/folders from the C:/MapleStoryV83 folder if they exist.
MapleStory.exe
Patcher.exe
GameLauncher.exe
HShield (folder)
Installing WampServer:
Follow the instructions and install it at:
c:Wamp
Don't worry about putting your e-mail and such at the end just press finish.
Once your done installing it, run it and you will see the Wamp icon on the bottom right corner.
Left click it and click 'Put Online'.
Then Left click it again and click 'Start All Services'.
The Wamp icon must look completely white (if its yellow, you have a problem).
Installing MySQL Query Browser:
This is very simple, just run the installation file, agree to the terms and follow the instructions.
Installing Java SE Development Kit (JDK):
Before we do this right click your computer icon and click properties.
Depending on what system type your computer has you will either install 32bit or 64bit.
So install the corresponding file.
Another simple installation just follow the instructions.

Step 4) Files placement
Take the two files from the folder (JCE Unlimited Strength Files) and copy them.
Paste them into these places, overwrite if prompted.
(The (jdk1) folder version can be different, its ok).

Step 5) Server files
Copy all the files and folders inside the ZenthosDev folder that we made earlier. So it looks like this.
C:ZenthosDev <files and folders here>
Now copy the WZ folder inside the ZenthosDev folder.
So it should look like this.
C:ZenthosDevWZ <Folders here>

Step 6) SQL setup
Open MySQL Query Browser, by default you should see this, if not, type it.
Server Host: localhost Port: 3306
Username: root
Everything else can be left blank, click 'Ok'.
Then click on the 'File' button from the menu bar, and select 'Open Script...'.
Go to C:ZenthosDevSQL and open the file named 'ZenthosDev.sql'.
After its opened, execute the file.

Step 7) Preference setup
(This part is optional if your running the server for your computer only)
Go to C:ZenthosDev and open the file called 'server.properties'.
Update the IP to yours. If your not sure what your IP is, visit .
You may also make any changes to have the server the way you want it to.

Step 8) Starting the server
Go to C:ZenthosDev
Open the file called '[ZenthosDev] OneW.bat'.
Wait 10 seconds and then your bat file should look like this.

Step 9) Using the client
Take the v83 LocalHost client and place it inside the C:MapleStoryV83 folder.
Now you may use that client to log into your server!
Note: To have your friends join your server you will need to edit your client's IP address, please look for a client hex tutorial.
